it looks like things have changed for all those who loved blogging on xanga!
seems they have lowered their financial goal,
and then exceeded it on the very last day they were to close!
*which was to have been july 31, 2013!
it's still there, too .. at least right now!

Debi, One way of keeping up with all bloggers from various sites is through bloglovin. Maybe this will help you out a bit til the dust settle so to speak. : )

oh my yes, amelia! I will definitely keep in touch! i will probably be here more than on Xanga anyway. i do like it here ... WordPress is okay, but I have more friends that i'm following here on Blogger now, too. and, i have you here in my reader, as well, so i'll be able to see when you post! i just don't know when the 'new xanga' will be coming along, so here i'll be! i will look into bloglovin, though ... that might be more convenient than hopping from one site to another to follow people! thanks for sharing that, my friend! you have a beautiful day! xo
DeleteOh good, you'll be here too! : ) I recently discovered bloglovin after reading about it from other blogspot writers announcing it when the gmail reader closed.
ReplyDeleteBloglovin I have found also sends a log everyday of the new blog entries we sign up for to our emails, kind of like xanga used to do! Kinda neat!
Well, one thing about xanga almost closing is I think it may bring some fellowship back again with bloggers who don't want to lose each other. (That was a scary thought)

oh dear, i've been a little busy, amelia, and haven't been on here very much. i just saw this comment ... thank you so much for sharing more about bloglovin ... i never used the google reader either, only the reader in my dashboard here on blogger ... it's the one you can add other sites to, and check the snippets there to keep up when they post. have you ever used yours? from the looks of your site, you may still have the 'older system', but this new thing came along with the changes they made to blogger. it's all built right in so i don't have to check the email account, which makes it easy for me, but i will check into bloglovin to see if i would like to use that. hope you're doing well, my friend ... i'll be over to visit just as soon as i grab cup of coffee! :)

thank you, my friend! so good to see you here .... and yes, i hope to get back to it VERY soon, even if it's a line or two. i've been busy with a friend who's been in the hospital after a very bad fall, and with my son who is beginning to get busy with his video production company. he needs my 'assistance', and i have to say, that makes this mom so very happy! i hope this finds you well, and thank you for staying in touch here, too!
